Basal metabolic rate (BMR) or the Resting metabolic Rate is the amount of energy expended daily by humans at rest

BMI (Body Mass Index) determines whether your body weight is within the normal range according to your height.
The weight excess or deficiency may, in part, be also caused by body fat although other factors such as muscularity also affect BMI significantly.

Recommended daily calorie intake varies from person to person, but the average calorie requirements are around 1900 calories per day for women and 2500 for men. However calorie requirements also depend on lifestyle and other factors.
